The Programme and Project Management Service supports organisational strategy, ensuring that programmes and projects within scope are implemented, and delivered, to the specified deadline.
The service has vast experience in delivering IM&T change programmes in community, acute, tertiary and mental health settings and provides support for a variety of programmes and projects including: major PAS deployments; clinical system rollout; business transformation initiatives; and technical infrastructure developments. In addition to this, the service also supports pan community projects involving system deployment and procurement, procurement consortia, as well as supporting the Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) programme and associated initiatives.
Programme and Project Managers use industry standard tools and methodologies, such as PRINCE2 and MSP (Managing Successful Projects) and utilise change management and process mapping techniques to support the required business change elements to embed new ways of working and effectively manage risk and issue resolution.
The service comprises of a range of programme and project management professionals with significant NHS experience, along with business change specialists and clinicians, who use processes and a bespoke toolkit, developed from industry standard methodologies and best practice, to deliver a wide range of projects, in a variety of organisational settings.
