Freedom of Information (FOI) requests

The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act recognises that as a member of the public, you have the right to know how public services such as the NHS are organised and run; how much they cost; and how you can make complaints if you need to.

You have the right to know which services are being provided; the targets that are being set; the standards of services that are expected; and the results achieved.

If some or all of the information you request cannot be provided, we will give you the reason for this.

FOI requests for Informatics Merseyside are managed through Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, which is the NHS organisation that hosts our service.

Requests can be made via email, online or by letter to:

Information Governance Team (Freedom of Information)
Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust
V7 Building
Kings Business Park
Merseyside
L34 1PJ

By law we have to deal with your request within 20 working days. If you are unhappy with the way in which we deal with your request, you can request a review of any decision we make. If after the review you are still unhappy with the situation you can complain to the Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK95 5AF.

Before submitting a request, you may find it useful to refer to some of the most frequently raised FOI queries by visiting the Mersey Care website.
