Service Desk Institute certification

The Service Desk Certification (SDC) programme is the only industry, standards-based, accreditation programme specifically designed to certify service desk quality.

NHS Informatics Merseyside's IT service desk awarded 3-star SDI certification

In 2014 Informatics Merseyside became the first NHS IT service desk in England to be awarded 3-star ‘customer-led’ certification by the Service Desk Institute for our commitment to providing an enhanced IT support service, which is in line with best practice industry standards.

To achieve certification, the maturity level of the service and support operation was rigorously audited against the Service Desk Institute's service desk standard in order to determine the level of compliance.

As a support service our performance is continually monitored against this standard and we are now actively working towards achieving 4-star ‘business-led’ certification.
