Adobe Certified Associate - Illustrator
Design colleagues within Informatics Merseyside are Adobe Certified Associates in graphic design and illustration using Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator software is the industry’s premier vector-drawing environment for creating scalable graphics. Our digital media service can help bring your vision to life with shapes, color, effects, and typography using a host of powerful functions to make fast work of the most complex designs. AirWatch is a Mobile Device Management (MDM) service that enables the secure management of devices including smartphones, tablets and most mobile devices. A number of our support professionals are accredited AirWatch enterprise mobility experts. This accreditation demonstrates their key understanding of the current challenges of enterprise mobility and the AirWatch solution. We have certified information security management expertise within Informatics Merseyside, which demonstrates our knowledge and commitment to information security. In addition to our technical competence, this validates our understanding of the relationship between information security and the goals and objectives of those organisations we support. We are Cyber Essentials certified, providing reassurance of our commitment to good cyber security practice, which will help guard against the most common cyber threats. Adherence to best practice processes helps protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data stored on devices which connect to the Internet such as desktop and laptop PCs, tablets and smartphones and all types of server and networking equipment. We have been awarded ‘Excellence in Informatics' accreditation for achieving consistent good practice in informatics workforce development. Accreditation is based on a set of standards, which are aimed at promoting the personal and professional development of informatics staff. Our IT infrastructure and operations work to ISO 27001 certification, providing assurance that our products and services are delivered in a safe and secure manner. ISO 27001 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. The Service Desk Certification (SDC) programme is the only industry, standards-based, accreditation programme specifically designed to certify service desk quality. We were delighted to be the first NHS IT service desk in England to be accredited with 3-star ‘customer-led’ certification and we are actively working towards achieving 4-star ‘business-led’ certification. Our IT training service has been awarded ‘Bronze level 3’ Training Service Accreditation. Training Service Accreditation (TSA) is a collaborative development between the Training Quality Improvement (TQI) team at NHS Digital and the TQI National Reference Group, made up of NHS training professionals. Accreditation provides assurance that our training service is operating at a nationally recognised standard and that our clinicians and support staff are being consistently and properly trained in using the systems that support patient care. Our standards and frameworks
Agile Project Management (AgilePM®)
Within Informatics Merseyside, our Project Managers are qualified in AgilePM,which enables them to react effectively to changing requirements. Like other agile frameworks, AgilePM is a practical and repeatable methodology that achieves an ideal balance between the standards, rigour and visibility required for good project management, and the fast pace, change and empowerment provided by agile. Health Level Seven (HL7®) Standards
Informatics Merseyside is an organisational member of HL7 UK. We support and implement a number of HL7 messaging standards including Version 2.x (V2) which is the most widely implemented messaging standard for healthcare in the world and FHIR® (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), which enables the exchange of clinical data between systems. These standards are designed to support a central patient care system as well as a more distributed environment where data resides in departmental systems or separate organisations. IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Our service management approach follows the ITIL framework to integrate IT service provision with the needs of the organisations we support. ITIL focuses on continually improving the capabilities of people, processes and technology and is the most widely accepted model for IT Service Management (ITSM) in the world.
Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
All of our IT programmes are managed following the MSP programme management framework. MSP provides a structured framework of best practice which acknowledges that every programme is unique but at the same time must be universally applicable, delivering quality outcomes and lasting benefits. By following this framework we ensure that our programmes of work focus on outcomes, anticipate issues and mitigate risks in order to successfully deliver transformational change.
PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments)
Our project teams follow the PRINCE2 project management framework. This is a process-based approach for project management providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management in the UK and is practiced worldwide.
When there is a requirement for a project to be delivered within a tight time-frame or when requirements are likely to change throughout the project lifespan, an agile project management methodology will be used. Originally created for software/systems development, agile is now used to help manage any form of business change. Within Informatics Merseyside, our Project Managers are qualified in PRINCE2 Agile, enabling them to respond quickly to change, providing a way to implement high-priority initiatives effectively.
