Following the huge success of the band’s first virtual piece “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, band members have recorded a new, virtual version of the icon Beatles song “All you need is love".

Each individual part has been recorded and arranged by music teacher and band trombonist Adam Dutch before another of the band’s trombonists Christopher Horswood edited all of the music and video together to produce the piece. The release coincides with the 8pm clap for carers, for all of the NHS staff and key workers who are doing so much for our country at this time.

Speaking about the experience, Ian said: “The intention initially was to keep ourselves virtually connected during lockdown and to pay tribute to the NHS. The finished result of our first virtual piece was featured on North West Tonight! Being able to say “thank you” to our keyworkers and provide enjoyment for others during these difficult times has been a wonderful experience".

The finished version will be available from 8pm on Thursday 14 May 2020 on the Maghull Wind Orchestra’s YouTube channel as well as on Facebook (MaghullWindOrchestra), Twitter (@MaghullWindOrch) and the orchestra’s website.
