Hello my name is Stephen Appleton and I am the Director of Digital within the Senior Management Team at NHS Informatics Merseyside.

I have over twenty years experience of working in health care, sixteen of which was spent working in the NHS as a registered nurse in mental health and learning disability services before moving into roles leading transformational change.

I have worked within the informatics field for the last eleven years and I am extremely passionate about the use of digital technology to enhance patient care.
