Soon, a pop-up message will appear on your computer (pictured below) requesting that you upgrade your computer to Windows 11 – Microsoft’s latest Operating System (OS).
This upgrade will help improve your computer’s performance and security, and will provide access to new features.
Further updates will be provided when the upgrade is available for your computer.
When the Windows 11 Operating System Upgrade pop-up message (pictured above) appears on your computer, you will have the option to either 'Run' or 'Postpone' the upgrade.
Please note: Selecting ‘Run’ will immediately start the Windows 11 installation process.
The upgrade may take up to one hour to complete.
Before upgrading, please ensure you have saved your work and it is recommended that you run the update at the end of your working day for minimal disruption.
You can postpone the start of the upgrade for up 21 days from the first prompt. After this time, the upgrade will begin automatically.
How do I install Windows 11?
To start the upgrade manually at a time that is convenient, please save all of your work and close any applications you have running on your computer.
You should then select the ‘App Installer’ icon on your computer desktop screen (pictured below).
From the App Installer, select ‘Upgrade to Windows 11’ (pictured below).
